I receive great comments all the time from many of my clients and their clients, however, I tend to be a low-key person by nature. (unless I am watching sports, especially Euro 2008 - go Spain!) I have a hard time posting testimonials, but I thought I would post this one from Clara Hartree and one of her clients:

As I am gearing up for the week ahead which already has me with fifteen homes to shoot! I think this will be the last real push for new listings until late August when the fall market will begin. A few of myclients seem to think it may be quite active! I hope to update my portfolio sometime next month.

Since Easter, the count is now over 300 homes and counting. Sam McCall and Shirley Clarke are leading the way. Shirley has over 30 listings with more coming soon. Sam has homes in both North and West Vancouver.

Sometimes, it is easier to do simple family vacations without hauling out lots of gear to take holiday snaps. After shooting so many places since Easter, we took an extended weekend to Seaside, Oregon. My weapon of choice was the Canon Powershot 720 IS. It is simple to use, but has lots of features that are useful. I especailly like using the stitching mode for panoramas. The only downside to this camera is the batteries. It runs on two AA batteries - which you can get anywhere, but if you use the flash, make sure you have lots.

I think Shirley Clarke and Sam McCall are probably the biggest listing agents on the North Shore. Shirley has 26 active listings as of today, and Sam has 20. The last time I posted here I had just updated my portfolio. I told my wife that because spring break was two weeks things would be slow. In fact, it was the opposite. In the last four four weeks (since Easter Monday) I have shot 125 homes! I had planned to upgrade my virtual tour system over spring break. I guess it will have to wait. Can’t wait for the May long weekend.

I just finished updating the portfolio section of the web site. There are lots of new photos. I have added an outdoor photo page. As well, there are some photos that have never been seen before! There are also some from the $18.2 million dollar penthouse. Enjoy!

On a recent shoot the property in question was not ready for photos. It is interesting how people perceive the cleanliness of their home when getting ready to sell.

In this image, the kitchen was chock full of items making it look cluttered. There was more stuff that is unseen that we moved.

After removing the clutter, the kitchen gives the appearance of being larger and more appealing. The proeprty sold in less than a week!

With the snow still falling, it is a good thing I shot so many places last week. ( a record 31 listings!) As of this morning Shirley Clarke has 18 active listings with one more to come - if the snow lets up. We have not had this much snow in a long time. We are at about a foot of the white stuff!

The real estate market has just gone nuts in North and West Vancouver! I am off to my busiest January ever. Shirley Clarke has fifteen active listings with more coming. Clara Hartree has two listings that we are awaiting sun so we can finish off two shoots for her. Go in and take a look around!
